Info

Santaphobia is a self-initiated storytelling project based on a childhood fear of Santa Claus.
While most kids saw Santa as a symbol of excitement, I saw something darker a stranger who watched, judged, and entered homes at night.

The publication turns that memory into a narrative told through image, layout, and type. Harsh lighting, cropped compositions, and warped typography recreate the tension between fantasy and fear showing how something meant to feel safe can quickly twist into something unsettling.

This project uses design as a storytelling tool not just to show fear, but to process it. It explores how childhood imagination and cultural myths shape the stories we tell ourselves, and how design can translate that emotion into a visual language.
