Public Awareness Campaign — In Collaboration with Surfers Against Sewage
Cornwall is one of the UK’s regions most affected by climate change. Cliffs are eroding, flooding risks are rising, and sea levels continue to threaten coastal communities. As temperatures climb and ice caps melt, the question becomes: how can we engage the public to understand the impact — and take action to stop it?
Beach at Risk is a public safety campaign for Surfers Against Sewage, raising awareness of climate change’s effect on UK beaches.
Inspired by road and safety signage, the campaign uses bold colour, geometric iconography, and clear typography to turn the language of caution into a message of environmental urgency.
Materials include posters, leaflets, social media assets, and a beach towel designed to raise funds and engage beachgoers directly at the shoreline — creating an identity that feels immediate and purpose-driven, transforming everyday safety design into a call to protect the coastlines that define us.
